1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website you visit. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently, remember your preferences, and provide information to site owners. Cookies themselves do not contain personal information, but they may be linked to information we hold about you.
Similar technologies such as local storage and session storage serve the same purpose of storing small data on your device and are covered by this policy.
2. How We Use Cookies
Catalog Mind uses cookies for two purposes only: to keep you securely signed in (essential) and to remember your display preferences (functional). We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking cookies, or third-party analytics cookies.
3. Cookies We Set
The following table lists every cookie currently set by Catalog Mind:
| Cookie name | Type | Purpose | Duration | Provider |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| sb-auth-token | Essential | Maintains your authenticated session. Required for login to work. | Session / 1 week | Supabase |
| sb-refresh-token | Essential | Refreshes your session automatically so you stay logged in. | 1 week | Supabase |
| theme-preference | Functional | Remembers whether you prefer light or dark mode. | 1 year | Catalog Mind |
4. Types of Cookies We Use
Essential cookies are necessary for the Service to function. Without them, you cannot log in or use authenticated features. These cookies cannot be disabled without breaking the Service.
Functional cookies remember your preferences to improve your experience — for example, your chosen display theme. These cookies are not required for the Service to work, but disabling them may affect your experience.
We currently do not use:
- Analytics or performance cookies (e.g., Google Analytics)
- Advertising or targeting cookies
- Social media tracking cookies
- Third-party cross-site tracking
5. Third-Party Cookies
Supabase, our authentication and database provider, sets the session cookies listed in section 3. These cookies are necessary to authenticate your requests to our backend. Supabase does not use these cookies for advertising or cross-site tracking.
Our payment processor Stripe may set cookies during the checkout flow. These are scoped to Stripe's payment iframe and are covered by Stripe's Cookie Policy.
6. Managing and Disabling Cookies
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to view, block, or delete cookies. Common browser cookie settings:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
- Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Cookies and site data
Please note that blocking essential cookies (the authentication cookies listed above) will prevent you from logging in and using the Service.
7. Do Not Track
Some browsers have a "Do Not Track" (DNT) setting. Because we do not engage in cross-site tracking, our Service behaves the same regardless of whether a DNT signal is received. We honour the spirit of DNT by default.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy as our use of cookies changes or when required by law. We will notify you of material changes through the Service or by email. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the current version.
